i purchased Goal Zero Nomad 50 to power my Yeti 500x. It delivers up to 50 watts of solar power. It is a little heavier than I expected. But can easily be transported along with the Yeti to wherever it is needed. It also charges other Goal Zero products like the Sherpa 100AC.
2. 6 days of camping
I purchased the Yeti 200x to break into solar for camping. I paired it with the Goal Zero Nomad 50. The Yeti was smaller and lighter than I expected. The Nomad 50 charged it well, even on cloudy days or through the tree canopy. I added a 4 pack of lights, 2 crush lights, and 2 usb flashlights. It powered and charged wonderfully. 10 of us camped for 6 days with an rc car and drone, a laptop for a couple movie nights, and a few phones and bluetooth speakers for music. The Yetti never went below 30% and the Nomad 50 made short work, 5 hours of through the tree canopy charging. It felt good to camp without the cost and waste of disposable batteries. I am going to purchase a Boulder 50 to mount at my home and use the Yetti to power my modem and my wife’s work from home 2 monitor work station in case the power goes out, she can still work. It is good to think that I captured the sunlight and used it later through the flashlights. Zoal Zero knows what they are doing.

Goal Zero Nomad 50 is a good efficient solar panel. At April noon it can generate up to 32W. I can expect it can be 50W as they say.

Wow. This item rocks! I can use this Goal Zero Nomad 50 to quickly recharge my Yeti 150, 200, or 400 without the need to combine my other 3 panels. The price was excellent. The performance and portability are excellent.
5. Plenty of Power! – Goal Zero Nomad 50
I got Goal Zero Nomad 50 to keep personal devices charged while camping, hunting, hiking, at the beach, ect. I works great. Charges phones, laptops and other devices very fast. Plenty of power for my applications.
6. High load capacity in a few minutes
It is an excellent pre-pipeline. It is the perfect combination of high load capacity with a clear and sunny day and the robustness of the solar panel in its use and transport. definitely recommended.
7. Simple to use portable solar panel.
Used the solar panel the first time, mostly as a test, to recharge my Goal Zero 200X power bank. I like the loops on the solar panel becuase I was able to use parachute cord to secure the panel to the side of my truck tied to brackets on my tonneau cover. The Goal Zero Nomad 50 panel is light weight and folds up to little more than size of notebook. Looking forward to using it for extended periods.
8. Can be used when folded
At the same power it costs more than other brands and it weighs quite a bit, but it is built with great care and seems worth the money spent.
I was in doubt if it could be used while it was folded, because to do so, you have to fold the panels in reverse of how they are folded at rest. When you do this, the joints resist. I asked the manufacturer and he said that it can be done, so as well as with four exposed sides, it can also be used with only 1, 2 or 3 sides exposed and the others folded behind.
